So, today I played against a guy who accused me of being a "camper". What is that?

In video gaming, Camping is a tactic in which a player will obtain a strategic position anywhere on the map and wait for players to arrive and be killed, or waiting for useful objects to appear in an area rather than actively seeking them out. Players camp in order to gain an advantage over their opponents. Camping is usually performed by locking down an area vital to the enemy's success, therefore more players will arrive to be killed than in any other position in the map.

In the case of spawn camping, it really sucks to spawn and immediately have to defend yourself (although WW has a few seconds of spawn shield that helps). Objective camping usually only works once or twice, and then they figure out that you're hiding in the safe, or in the war room. The next time you can pretty much expect a nade or a faceful of molotov.

Basically do not sit in the other teams spawn area. This is bad to do and will get you kicked.

Good or bad, camping will make you a very un-popular guy, and surprisingly enough, it will do so among your own team members as well. The occasional "I'm a camper, I'm on top of the world" is OK as long as you do it sparingly...

Of coarse, back in the day, me and my volley didn't camp much...we just loitered...alot :P
