At the moment maybe yes , but we have seen this before , when there were only a few people playing . Although I must say , last time I miss a few french guys :? ( Chris ?? Bandito ??)

But I think it will be all allright in time :)

It's not going down - there are a bunch of oldschools and several new players who plays every no and then. Thrust me - when will get my PC and internet, your arses will be in danger! Except Hijo's of course - he's my e-dad and ... just too old to get owned by led rain!

Keep WildWest alive by playing locally

Post by El_Pedo_Ciego » Mon Mar 07, 2011 5:48 pm

We've got a group of between 4 - 12 that play locally via LAN. We live at the end of the road and don't have a good internet connection to play online, but the WW is definitely alive and well here.

I would encourage all of you to get a group together and have some local games once a week or month. Burn the game onto CD's and give them out or place some at a computer store for free. The game is older, but the nice thing about that, is that it will run on some older hardware!

I've been gathering junk PC's for a while and now have enough cobbled together to get folks who don't have one, a place to play the game. There are lots of gaming groups around that would welcome a break from what they normally play to come and game with you.

I realize many of you live to play on the servers and it is fun, the few times I've been able to do it, but it is a TON of fun to have a bunch of people packed in a small room full of computers with pizza and everyone yelling, "Close the switch!" "Shoot him!" "Get the gold!!!" We've had some EPIC last second victories where the whole building shakes from the energy of the game.

Try thinking of WW in a little different way to get more people involved and I think we'll see more people on the servers.
