So yesterday I got the news that my brother (known in wildwest as bite me) was in the hospital with heart issues. They kept him overnight for testing and today they want to run even more tests. Tomarrow they are sticking a tube into his heart to inject some dye to see whats going on.
I'll be seeing him later this afternoon (while you are on the server) but will let him know you guys are hoping for the best for him.

I've read about that on his Facebook - didn't seem (according to his texts) that there's anything super serious. Anyway, I hope everything is OK with Dave!

Re: Bite Me's in the hospital
Hi All...still alive and kicking. Heart looks good and no damage and arteries are clean.
My heart went into AFIB and the rate spiked up around 150. What they were more concerned with is a stroke not a heart attack.
So going forward I am on a ton of new medication. I need to watch the AFIB now that I know what it feels like. If it keeps up over a 12hr period I need to go to the hospital and get shocked back into rythem. I guess anything over 24 hrs you have a higher likelihood of a stroke and need to be put on stronger blood thinners.
Ah...getting older is soooo much fun!!!

Hope all OK now mate ?
I had similar scare a few years ago, hospitalized for 2 days with tachycardic arterial fibrillation, given beta blockers, 6 months later saw doc for other heart problems (odd/irregular beat when resting) specialist said might be the beta blockers, so stopped them !
Been pretty much OK since, just avoid too much caffeine :/

Holy Crap....Hewster is alive! Great to see ya. ITs been a long time.
Yup the AFIB is a real pain. When I dont remember my meds I notice it immediately. Havent got stuck in AFIB in a while. They said if I get into it for more then 10 hrs to go to hospital to make sure I dont have a stroke. Other then that Im all good. Exercising, eating better and taking meds seems to be doing its job.
