Is there a way to make a rotating door only go one direction?

Here's two examples:

A trap door in the ceiling, just want it to rotate upward instead of into the player trying to climb up and out of it.

A door on a safe, seems to always rotate inward instead of outward towards the player. :roll:

block the directon..but that would mean crashes :) ;) .. (prolly is not what u want)
u can also use a script mover :) like a crypt door or somekind

example : the suspension bridge on canyon , the tower door ..etc ..do keep in mind ..ul get crushed once caught in the door script ;)

as in the func_door_rotating ud prolly guessed it , the orange thingy magoo is the hinge point
u can also set an angle and rotation etc

so leave special doors for now :) we can script that later :D

That's kind of what I was thinking. I remembered running into this on a previous map I made, where there was a forward bunker and I wanted a door in the ceiling that you could climb out of. I don't remember how I fixed that or if I just changed it.

I'll leave them alone for now and fix them later, still trying to get the layout finished to make the map play well before adding all the little details and fixing the harsh lighting. (which I looked into a bit and have an idea on how to make the lighting look better) :D

to aid you a bit futher ..

TOWN ( which is in the development pack ) also has sliding windows .. u could use that to your advantage :)

Weren't similar door (working one way) in Deathtrap map, just above the objective?

but source of deathtrap is unavailable to copy the entities ( or how to understand how it functions).. town is available in the devpak :)
