11-year-old girl hit by pickup truck

Post by wwbiteme » Wed Nov 25, 2009 1:54 am

Need everyone to say a prayer for this 11 yr old from my town. Horrible situation and I know her well and her parents.

GREENLAND – Police and firefighters were called to Post Road Tuesday night when an 11-year-old girl was hit by a pickup truck and seriously injured.

Fire Chief Ralph Cresta confirmed a child had been hit by a vehicle and transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

According to emergency communications, the child was unconscious, unresponsive and believed to have suffered head and pelvis injuries.

The vehicle involved in the accident was a GMC Canyon pickup truck. The front grill was seen hanging off the vehicle at the accident scene.

Police re-routed traffic from a section of Post Road (Route 151) as a reconstruction team investigated the accident.

Wow Dave, that's terrible! Having 3 kids of my own, I can imagine how horrible this is for her family (and right before Thanksgiving :? ) I'm glad to hear there has been some improvement in her condition.

This is indeed very sad, Dave. I really hope her condition continues on the upward trend and quickly.
