the 1.6 fix ingame server browser is fixed
however due to some personal circumstances ive not been able to host the master server
the wildwest master server , cannot be hosted on the same subnet
the wildwest master server is based on DP master server
to explain the basics , RTCW basic installation , looks for the master server ( u can view that in console ) , since the original master server crashed in 2004 , ID changed the states and dropped the RTCW entirely ./. in the RTCW console ull notice something like "sending heartbeat to "
similar has happend to the wildwest , originally hewster coded it to pointed the master to the same server , resulting in to too much results , in addition he created an additional protocol ,
EG , quake3 = protocol 80 , quake3 patch 1 is protocol 81 , rtcw 1.3 is protocol 85 , etc etc , the protocol is based for the master server and the ingame browser to be able to filter results
in 2012 me and hewster re-coded that bit , since there are no master servers available for RTCW , i hosted the master on several servers
to get back at the first paragraph , im hosting 230 servers , every server has a public adress , eg 188.8.131.52 troughout 231
meaning , 184.108.40.206 <-> 231 is a server , however , every server is natted and firewalled .. the DP master server , cannot handle a natted connection , and also an internal connection between servers is impossile
which left me to point out the wildwest master to a location which was out of my juristiction .. which has changed alot ..
the wildwest master server is now hosted on a seperate datacenter , however its not reachable for the clients.. this is due to datacenter regulations .. and i have been struggling for this a long time ,,
so ill keep you posted for an easy fix .. bare with me though ..
