WildWest MOD based on CoD2

Hey all

Was surfing around yesterday for fun and stumbled across this MOD for CoD2 (Call of Duty 2) Looks like it was released around Nov. 2011. Not sure how it plays or much about it due to my CoD2 is for Xbox not my PC. If anyone has tried it or has CoD2 on their PC I would be very interested in knowing what it is like.

Just got done trying it. Lots of hard work in the mod for sure! The textures and modeling are really good. However some things disappoint.

Very few new weapons, most are from COD2. Four shotguns, 1 is a pump action trench gun (not found in the old west), 1 long and 1 sawed off shot gun (exact duplicates of each other, just longer vs shorter) and finally one unique shotgun, likely time-period accurate (forget the model #...but all weapon sounds are the same for every shotgun) Rifles are all from COD2 so nothing new and not accurate for the 1860-80 range at all. Pistol is also from COD2. They may plan more dev on this score, not sure.

Players have been slightly re-skined. Western-ish hat, colors, but still ww2 army style back pack & gear.. not fitting for the genre in my opinion.

Buildings and models are very well done, yet again many inaccuracies. Overall architecture hearkens to the early 1900-20's, not wild west days. And many models (train cars, details & models in side buildings) are far too modern. By like 60 years lol.

And just like COD2mp nothing is interactive, no doors, no breaking windows... which I miss lol.

Much more "realism" than our beloved WW when it comes to textures and physics, but there are many things not at all accurate for the genre, and when it comes down to it... I would still rate our mod much more fun :)

Might still d/l it and give it a try. The weapon sounds and look I could get used to, the lack of opening doors and such would be a different story...I'll try i, but I'm not going anywheres :)
