Why no Battle Creek map?

Post by Lemmy » Tue Sep 07, 2010 1:23 am

I just wondered why there's no Battle Creek map on this server?

I played it the other night with a couple of people on the Tombstone server and I'd forgotten how good it is - nice and spacious with plenty of nooks and crannies to hide and snipe etc. And unlike most of the other maps currently being used which have just one or two obvious paths for the attacker to reach their target, Battle Creek provides numerous paths.

It seems a real shame not to be using it.

hi lemmy your right it is a good map and it has been in the rotation some time ago. But with few players or with many new players it is a too hard map for the attackers because you have to do 2 objectives at the same time (keep the switch open and bring the object to the church) and therefore you need a high level of coorporation. That's why it is not in the rotation.

Perhaps someone some day could change the map that you don't have the switch to think about, i think that would be cool.

el rio is hard too but if you ask all people on your team to attack (and most of them do it) then it is not that hard to win. Infact i like that map because the whole team should know either to defend or to attack - If you do both 100% you won't succeed.

In b.creek it is soo much harder to ask the whole team both to defend the switch and to help deliver the obj in church. But as said it may be good with many people 8+ or if ofcourse the teams are balanced in a way to match the difficulty.

I'm also wondering what happened to the train map? It was one of my favorites.
