/stats?

Post by zivs » Sun May 03, 2009 11:00 pm

Was wondering - is there any /stats (you know - kills, deaths, damage given, damage received ..) command in-game to see how everyone is doing on the battlefield?

Just had a quick idea for my duel map to create a small test 1on1 tournament where the winner would be decided by frag count (most frags win) in 5 minute time. Just now I'm wondering if there is any way to see the kills/deaths in console? Or the only way to find winner for such dueling would/could be the XP points?

I was thinking more of looking it in-game without any external programs.

Well, the thing is, that there exists such command, but it gives no output in console - it shows only unknown cmd stats.

no a method in the gaming code. All the server stat's programs out there parse the server log and compile all the data. I'll help my brother find something if you wish, though I find game play suffers some when folks are going for stats than fun/obj of the game.

Well, is there then any explanations around how's the XP in-game given (in Wild West)? It's 1XP per kill or there are some other criterias also? Besides the objective-related XP (taking obj., blowing something up, etc.)?

If the XP is given only by kills (not DG/DR), then it would be pretty easy to decide the winner in duels even without stat programs ... :)

Stats exists

thats not an "X Files"

We used to have it in old days, in Danis server

After it, we, WWE clan, used to have it just for our info.

IMO. i think its possible, but only real Admins can do it, like Gunte or Rudi

xp varies by game mode (obj you get it for killing enemies, suicides (neg), planting obj, taking obj and saving obj.

other modes (TDM) it's kills only (non for a revive)

Any stats program running on any server is a program that scans (sometimes real time) the server log for various key words (Player X killed Player Y with weapon Z) could have a filter to load that stat into a data base that would then display the info (either on the server or on a web site.)
