the ceiling borked up is usally a shader in another pak file which it cant find , usually a wq3 map ..

earlier development maps for instance have caused the exact problem .. u can scroll up in your console which map it actually is ud see something like

shader missing , or similar

If that turns out to be the issue, is it easily fixable? If that issue shows tonight, I'll check the console and post here

Alright, so I was in the game and went to Hacienda, the grid-skybox is still there, so I checked the console, I found 2 references to errors:

I figured I see if there was a quick fix before I went ahead and try to install another copy of RTCW, which, apparently is going to be difficult because it already knows it has been installed...

...Now if somebody would come online, I could check the stuttering issue

no doubt this issue has been fixed .. but a small hint into fixing things and posting it might be the feature condump

this feature dumps your console information (load maps, gfx details etc ) to a text file

all you need to do is bringdown the console with the Tilde key ~
type /condump consoledump.txt
and a logfile of the current console wil be created in the Wildwest folder
